Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has assured that the State government will provide all out support to the MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises ) to generate more employment opportunities in Telangana.

Addressing the programme after unveiling the Telangana MSME policy -2024 at Shilpakala Vedika, Madhapur, here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister stated that the State government has unveiled the new MSME policy aimed at generating employment opportunities and creating wealth in Telangana.

"The State government has introduced the new policy while continuing the policies of the previous government. Politics will not take place in the development process hence it is a continuous process. The Congress party will pursue the good programmes and schemes without giving any scope to politics. My government will also not hesitate to scrap the earlier decisions which are detrimental to the state's interest," he asserted.

Stating that there is a big gap between the educational standards and the industrial requirements, the Chief Minister said the Congress government, as part of correcting errors in the education system, has upgraded 65 ITI institutions as advanced technology centers and is modernising the institutions jointly with Tata Institute at a cost of Rs.2400 crores.

"The Young India Skill University has been established after conducting a thorough study. It will train the youth and impart skills to meet the industrial requirements," Revanth Reddy said.

He further appealed to farmers not to give up farming since it is the part of culture and has requested them to continue in the profession and encourage their family members for grabbing more employment opportunities.

"The State government is not functioning from the ‘restricted Fort’ (Gadi) like the previous government. It is the people’s government for the welfare of all people. Doors are always open in our government and ready to accept everyone’s suggestions," Revanth Reddy disclosed.

He further stated that the State government has envisaged plans to promote the women Self Help Groups ( SHGs) as Millionaires and a new marketing facility is already created to promote the products of the SHGs in 3 acres of land at the famous Shilparamam in Hyderabad.

"SHGs have been entrusted with the responsibility of the management of the Amma Adarsh Schools. Orders have been given to the groups for stitching the schools uniforms. The women groups are supported by increasing the charges of the stitching of uniforms to Rs 75 from Rs 25," the Chief Minister said.

Appreciating the efforts of Industries Minister Sridhar Babu who is the brain behind introducing the MSME policy to promote micro, small and medium industries in Telangana, Revanth Reddy said that without a policy document, no State will develop and it is the reason the State government has announced the MSME Policy.
