The Telangana government has launched its first MSME policy, focusing on women-led enterprises and addressing key challenges like access to finance, technology, skilled labour, affordable land, quality raw materials, and markets.

With Rs 600 crore allocated, the policy includes setting up industrial parks and reserving 20% of plots for MSMEs.

In the coming five-year period, each district will be allocated one park and ten parks will be developed between the ORR and RRR, with five dedicated to MSMEs, including one each for women and SC/ST-owned businesses.

A special Rs 100 crore "Yantram Fund" aims to boost technology upgrades, with the goal of MSMEs contributing 10% to the state’s GSDP and creating 20% more jobs.

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy announced Rs 4,000 crore for MSME initiatives in the coming five years, targeting 25,000 new MSMEs.

SHGs will be supported to transition into MSMEs, and incentives for solar and waste management systems included.

Additionally, MSMEs will be encouraged to make use of platforms like ONDC and Government E-Marketplace, with workshops planned to educate entrepreneurs.
