Mahesh Kumar Goud Assumes Charge as TPCC President

Hyderabad: Mahesh Kumar Goud on Sunday took charge as the President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC).

The responsibilities were handed over to him by the previous TPCC president and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in a ceremony held at Gandhi Bhavan, here.

Before the event, Mahesh Kumar Goud and his wife participated in special prayers.

Mahesh Kumar Goud, along with Congress leaders and workers, paid homage at the Gun Park Martyrs' Memorial. From there, they embarked on a massive rally towards Gandhi Bhavan. The rally was marked by grand displays, including a procession of vehicles, horse-drawn carriages, camels, tribal dances, Bonalu celebrations and performances by Shiva Sattulu.

The event at Gandhi Bhavan was attended by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Congress Telangana in-charge Deepadas Munshi, AICC secretaries, Ministers, MLAs, and DCC presidents. A total of 350 guests were invited, with many attending the gathering.

Earlier, Mahesh Kumar Goud took blessings from TTD Vedic scholars at his residence in the city. Mahesh Kumar is now the fourth TPCC president.
