Flood damage assessment survey starts today in AP

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh government has geared up its machinery to conduct a massive enumeration of damage suffered due to the rain fury through a door-to-door survey from Monday.

As more rainfall is predicted across NTR and Guntur as well as the North Coastal Andhra and Konaseema region following intensification of a low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, the government has also opened control rooms at various places and asked the district collectors to remain on high alert to tackle any exigency. They were advised to evacuate people from low-lying

areas as and when required.
