On Thursday, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended T Ram Mohan, a Deputy Engineer (Technical) with TGSPDCL. He was arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs. 18,000.
Mohan, stationed at the Superintendent Engineer (Operations) office in Saroornagar, Ranga Reddy district.
He had demanded the money to expedite the processing of an application related to the relocation of a transformer.
The bribe was recovered from Mohan's residence. He has been arrested and is now in court before the First Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases in Hyderabad.
The investigation is ongoing.
