SCCL To Reward Whistleblowers With Rs 10k For Reporting Graft

Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Managing Director N Balaram held a review meeting via video conference on Wednesday from Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad to discuss the operations of the Vigilance Department.

During the meeting, Balaram emphasised that there is zero tolerance for corruption within SCCL. He urged the vigilance department to maintain strict oversight and encouraged workers to voluntarily report corrupt activities.

Information on illegal activities can be reported to the Vigilance Department at 9491144104 or via email at vig@scclmines.com, with anonymity and confidentiality guaranteed for those providing accurate information. A reward of Rs 10,000 will be given to individuals who report verified illegal practices, he said.

Balaram also addressed the issue of compassionate appointments, stating that employees found engaging in corrupt activities during the recruitment process will face dismissal, and others involved will face legal action. Those providing false documents will have their terminal benefits suspended. He clarified that compassionate appointments are reserved for employees with serious health issues.
