Amazon Web Services Plans to Expand in Hyderabad

Amazon Inc. has expressed strong interest in expanding its data centre and workforce in Hyderabad.

According to an official release, the Telangana delegation led by IT Minister D Sridhar Babu persuaded Amazon to increase the focus on its data centre operations in Telangana after meeting with a senior leadership team led by Kerry Person, Vice President of AWS Data Centre Planning and Delivery.

Amazon already has a significant presence in Telangana, including the world's largest corporate building in Hyderabad. In 2023, Amazon launched its dedicated air cargo network, Amazon Air, in Hyderabad, and three data centres are already operational.
