Amaravati: TDP national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday fulfilled his pledge to enter the State Legislative Assembly after he was allegedly insulted by the YSRCP members on November 19, 2021.

Naidu pledged not to enter the House as long as YSRCP was not dislodged. Naidu had termed the Assembly session by the YSRCP as a 'Kourava Sabha' after staging a walk out.

Trouble sparked off after Kodali Venkateswara Rao (Nani) had alleged his involvement in the murder of Kapu leader Vangaveeti Mohan Ranga and former Home Minister A. Madhava Reddy and staging a coup against his father-in-law N.T. Rama Rao (NTR).

Aggrieved by the allegations, Naidu had vowed not to step into the precincts of the House without getting mandate as the Chief Minister.

Earlier, Naidu was the first to take oath as an MLA. The oath was administered to the newly elected by Protem Speaker Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdhury. Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and Home Minister V. Anitha were next to take oath.

The Protem Speaker later announced the schedule for the election of the post of Speaker. TDP has finalized the candidature of Narsipatnam MLA Ch. Ayanna Patrudu for the Speaker's post.
