In a bid to curb black marketing of arjitha sevas and accommodation services at Tirumala, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) plans to introduce an Aadhar validation system soon. Discussions are underway with the UIDAI to implement this system, according to TTD Executive Officer J Syamala Rao.

After observing the irregularities in the current online booking system, Rao highlighted that an offender made 1,800 attempts to generate over 60 arjitha seva tickets using a single mobile number and that a single email ID was used for booking special entry darshan and other arjitha sevas.

He expressed displeasure with the TTD IT department officials for failing to prevent these anomalies.

Additionally, the EO noted incidents where fake Aadhaar cards were used to generate darshan tickets.

In a separate effort to improve services, TTD is in talks with the FSSAI to modernise the Tarigonda Vengamamba anna prasadam canteen and enhance the quality and taste of the popular laddu. Rao also emphasised the need to improve food quality at private hotels.

To further ensure food safety, TTD has unveiled a mobile FSSAI lab at Tirumala, capable of testing around 80 materials, aimed at improving the quality of food served by private eateries.
