Ramky Infra to raise Rs 280 cr via term loans

Hyderabad: Ramky Infrastructure Ltd, an infrastructure major on Wednesday said it is looking to raise external funding of around Rs 280 crore, through term loans in the next six months, for the big projects it is awaiting to win bidding. The company has three overseas projects in the Middle east which are at various bidding stages, wherein each project is worth Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,000 crore.

“Currently there are ongoing projects for which the internal accruals of Rs 300 crore will be utilised. For new big projects that are at various stages of bidding, we will have to look at external funding of around Rs 280 crore, through term loans over a period of six months,” N S Rao, Group Financial Officer, Ramky Group, told the media here.

The company also informed that it has settled final debt of SBEL lender majorly through internal accruals. During FY24, the company completed various projects such as two sewage treatment plants in Hyderabad.

Ramky Infra, under joint venture, has three overseas projects, in different stages of bidding, each worth between Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,000 crore. Explaining on this, Y R Nagaraja, Managing Director, Ramky Infrastructure Ltd, said: “We wanted to get into niche areas in infrastructure that is the reason behind selecting urban and industrial infra. The Pharma City in Vizag comes under industrial infra. In the expansion going on there in Vizag, Ramky is working on completing first of its kind zero liquid discharge plant. We are also keen on pharma clusters being planned by the Telangana government”. In Hyderabad, under urban infra, we have worked on multiple sewage treatment plants wherein 40 per cent is invested by the State government and 60 per cent is by Ramky, he added.
