NTPC Simhadri gets CSR award

Vishakhapatnam: NTPC Simhadri on Friday received the silver award from the Times Group’s CSR Times for its dedication to sustainability through project Vidya-Bala Badi.

Launched in 2018-19, the project supports three schools and learning centers in the tribal villages of G Madugula and Chintapalli in the ASR district. The initiative is executed in partnership with the NGO RDSS, Anakapalli, under the guidance of CII.

The award was presented at the 11th National CSR Times Awards 2024, held in Panaji. The award was received by Sanjay Kumar Sinha, Chief General Manager, Simhadri and K Prakasa Rao, Manager, CSR. The award acknowledges NTPC Simhadri’s exceptional efforts in advancing education in tribal regions, a company release stated.
