LPG Price Hike Hits Businesses

Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have increased the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 39 starting September 1.

The new price in Delhi is now Rs 1,691.50.

This price hike is expected to affect businesses like restaurants, hotels, and small industries, which will face higher costs.

Earlier this year, on July 1, OMCs had lowered the price by Rs 30 to Rs 1,646.

Before that, the price was reduced by Rs 69.50 on June 1, bringing it to Rs 1,676, and by Rs 19 on May 1.

These monthly price changes reflect how the market fluctuates. Factors such as international oil prices and supply and demand affect these prices.

While the reasons for the recent increase aren't detailed, OMCs adjust prices based on economic conditions.
