Stock Market: Sensex, Nifty Plunge Over 1%
Navin Fluorine, Aarti Industries, Colgate, Granules India and HINDPETRO were the top gainers on the Nifty.
On Friday, August 2, 2024, the stock markets opened lower, with both the Sensex and the Nifty nosediving over 1 per cent.
Sensex and Nifty plunged over 700 and 200 points, respectively.
The Sensex opened at 81,158.99 and fell over 1 per cent to 80,995.70. The Nifty 50 opened at 24,789 against its previous close of 25,010.90 and soon declined over 1 per cent to 24,723.70.
