Brent crude trading at $83.30/bbl

Crude oil prices climbed Rs19 to Rs6,613 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil was down 0.03 per cent to $79.10 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.07 per cent higher at $83.30 per barrel in New York.

On MCX, crude oil for May delivery traded higher Rs19 or 0.29 per cent at Rs6,613 per barrel in 6,425 lots. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
