Investors poorer by Rs 5.49 lakh cr

Investors’ wealth plummeted by Rs5.49 lakh crore on Friday as markets faced a massive correction tracking a weak trend in global peers and fresh foreign fund outflows. The market capitalisation (mcap) of BSE-listed firms slumped by Rs5,49,925.16 crore to Rs4,60,18,976.09 crore (Rs460.18 lakh cr or $5.48 trn) from Rs465.3 lakh cr on Thursday.
