Futures Trading In Divergent Mode

Gold futures declined Rs120 to Rs77,016 per 10 grams in futures trade amid fall in the spot demand. Silver futures rose Rs62 to Rs91,063 per kilogram as participants increased their bets.

On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for February delivery traded lower Rs120 or 0.16 per cent at Rs77,016 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 12,981 lots. Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to weak global cues. Globally, gold futures increased by 0.21 per cent to $2,653.76 per ounce in New York.
