Vinod Kambli dances during recovery at hospital, video goes viral!
Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli (52) made headlines again, but this time for an unexpected reason—dancing in a hospital ward. Kambli, who was admitted to Akruti Hospital in Bhiwandi on December 21 after complaining of a urinary infection and muscle cramps, later discovered he had clots in his brain. Despite his health challenges, Kambli's recovery is progressing well, as confirmed by his doctors.
In a video that quickly went viral, Kambli showcased his remarkable dance moves, lifting the spirits of hospital staff, fellow patients, and everyone around him. His energetic performance to a popular song had staff members, including a nurse, joining him in the dance. The infectious enthusiasm brightened the atmosphere, turning the hospital room into a mini celebration.
Kambli took to social media to express his gratitude for the support he’s received during his recovery, saying, "I have reached this far because of your love." He also thanked Shailesh Thakur, the hospital's director, for his support throughout the treatment process.
While his health is improving, Kambli is also facing some memory impairment. According to his doctor, there are signs of neurodegenerative changes, though Kambli is expected to recover 80-90% of his memory with time and rehabilitation. The doctor noted that Kambli had stopped alcohol and smoking a few months ago, which could have contributed to his condition. Currently, Kambli is in complete abstinence from alcohol.
Fans and well-wishers have flooded Kambli with messages of encouragement, wishing him a speedy recovery after his uplifting display of spirit.
