A tragic road accident in Gujarat’s Vadodara has sparked outrage after shocking video footage surfaced online. The incident, which took place near Muktanand Cross Roads in the Karelibaug area around 12:30 am on Friday, resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to four others. The accused, 23-year-old law student Rakshit Chaurasia, allegedly crashed into multiple two-wheelers while driving at high speed.
Who is Rakshit Chaurasia?
According to police reports, Chaurasia is a law student originally from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He currently resides in Vadodara and studies at Maharaja Sayajirao University. Authorities suspect he may have been under the influence at the time of the accident, though he has denied this claim.
Eyewitnesses and CCTV Footage Reveal Disturbing Details
CCTV footage of the accident shows Chaurasia’s car striking two scooters, dragging the riders before coming to a halt. Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that after stepping out of the vehicle, Chaurasia was heard yelling, “One more round,” raising further concerns about his state of mind.
