Mumbai, Oct 16: SMOOR Chocolates, the country's most preferred luxury confectionery brand, has chosen World Food Day (October 16) to announce the continuation of its annual corporate social responsibility initiative, ‘Chocolates for a Cause.’ This initiative reinforces SMOOR's enduring commitment to combining luxury with meaningful social impact. This program, a cornerstone of SMOOR's corporate identity, continues to address critical societal issues while championing sustainability and inclusivity.

One such touchpoint is SMOOR's collaboration with the Apoorva School of Autism, where students with autism hand-painted diyas for the company's Diwali hampers. This artistic endeavour provided these talented children with a platform for expression through art. Building on the spirit of inclusivity, SMOOR followed each creative session with a celebratory gathering, treating the young artists to an array of delectable treats while raising awareness about autism spectrum disorders.

This commitment to inclusivity extends beyond community outreach into SMOOR's workplace practices, exemplified by its observance of the International Week of Deaf People. In line with its mission to create a truly inclusive environment, the company organised an engaging luncheon for employees with hearing and speech impairments, their families, and NGO partners. To ensure meaningful interaction and support, SMOOR has made Disability Sensitisation Training and Sign Language workshops integral to its corporate culture.

Furthering its mission to touch lives across generations, SMOOR also partnered with Little Sisters of the Poor. This entailed elderly residents visiting SMOOR's Sadashivnagar outlet last year during Diwali. This intergenerational gathering, filled with storytelling, companionship, and a shared meal, has created meaningful bridges that grow stronger with time, demonstrating how the joy of fine chocolate can bring people of all ages together.

Kanchan Achpal, CMO of SMOOR said, "Year after year, our 'Chocolates for a Cause' initiative reminds us that true luxury lies not just in what we create but in how we share it with others. As we mark World Food Day, we are reminded that our commitment goes beyond crafting premium chocolates—nurturing relationships, practising inclusion, and using our resources to create lasting change in our community. When we see the smile on an elderly person's face as they share our chocolates or witness the pride of a child with autism showcasing their art, we are reminded that the sweetest success is the one that uplifts others. This isn't just about corporate responsibility; it's about human connection and the belief that every small act of kindness, repeated consistently, can create waves of positive change."

As ‘Chocolates for a Cause’ enters another year, launched symbolically on World Food Day, it stands as a testament to SMOOR's enduring dedication to creating a more compassionate and inclusive world—one delicious moment at a time.
