In a tragic suspected road rage incident, a newly married Indian-origin man was shot dead in front of his wife in Indiana, USA. The 29-year-old victim, Gavin Dasaur, was on his way home with his Mexican wife, Viviana Zamora, when the confrontation occurred.
The accused shooter, initially detained at the scene, was later released on grounds of self-defense, as Dasaur was reportedly carrying a handgun when he confronted the other driver in a pickup truck.

Video footage captured by another driver shows Dasaur exiting his vehicle at an intersection, yelling at the pickup truck driver while holding a handgun. Dasaur then punches the truck’s door with the gun before switching it to his left hand. In response, the pickup driver fires a shot, causing Dasaur to fall to the ground. The shooter remained inside his vehicle throughout the brief confrontation.
Dasaur, originally from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, had married Zamora on June 29, as reported by local sources. The incident underscores the growing concerns around road rage and firearm confrontations in the US.
