GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) has been awarded the "Best Airport Staff in India & South Asia 2025" by Skytrax, marking the fourth time it has received the distinction.
The recognition was announced at the Passenger Terminal EXPO 2025 held in Madrid, Spain. The award is based on detailed Skytrax assessments evaluating the performance, service efficiency, and passenger interaction at airports across the region. GHIAL was ranked highest for its overall staff service quality among Indian and South Asian airports.
Skytrax, a global authority in air transport evaluation since 1989, assesses airports on key indicators, including passenger handling, security processing, cleanliness, terminal infrastructure, and customer-facing staff performance. Hyderabad Airport scored top marks in various categories that influence the overall traveler experience.
GHIAL's ongoing improvements in airport operations have contributed to this accolade. Features such as city-side check-in, digital service enhancements, inclusive passenger assistance programs, and efficient lounge and retail services have streamlined passenger journeys.
CEO of GHIAL, Pradeep Panicker, credited the achievement to the combined efforts of airport staff and stakeholders. He said the airport's staff consistently deliver service focused on anticipating needs and ensuring seamless travel for every passenger.
