Air India Express, a subsidiary of the national carrier Air India, has introduced a new offer to benefit passengers traveling to select international destinations. Effective immediately, the airline is increasing the free baggage allowance for its flights to West Asian countries and Singapore.
Previously, passengers could carry up to 20 kg of checked-in luggage at no additional cost on these routes. Under the new policy, Air India Express is allowing up to 30 kg of checked baggage for free. The airline has also extended a special provision for families traveling with infants, offering an additional 10 kg of free baggage. As a result, families with young children can now check up to 40 kg of luggage without incurring extra charges.
In addition to the checked baggage allowance, passengers are permitted to carry up to 7 kg of cabin baggage. This offer applies exclusively to Air India Express flights departing from India to West Asian destinations and Singapore. The airline operates 450 weekly flights to various cities in the Middle East and other parts of West Asia, as well as 26 weekly flights to Singapore.
This baggage offer comes on the heels of Air India Express's recent flash sale, where discounted flight tickets were available for booking until January 13. Passengers who secured tickets during the sale can travel until September 30, 2025, making this an attractive option for those planning international trips in the near future.
