Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, launched in 2018 by the NDA government, is set to release its 18th installment on October 5, 2024. Under this scheme, 9.5 crore farmers are expected to receive Rs 2,000 each, with the government disbursing Rs 20,000 crore in total.

About the PM-KISAN Scheme

The PM-KISAN initiative was designed to provide financial aid to small and marginal farming households across India. Eligible farmers receive an annual sum of Rs 6,000, divided into three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each, directly credited to their bank accounts via the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

The most recent installment, the 17th, was released on June 18, 2024, benefiting around 9.25 crore farmers. This payment also saw the addition of 25 lakh new beneficiaries.

How to Check Your Enrollment Status

Farmers can verify if they are enrolled in the scheme and meet the eligibility criteria by following these steps:

Visit the official PM-KISAN website.

Navigate to the 'Beneficiary List' section.

Select the relevant details like state, district, sub-district, block, and village.

Click on ‘Get Report’ to view the beneficiary list and confirm your name.

The system will display the beneficiary status and payment details, allowing farmers to track when the installment is credited to their bank accounts.

Completing eKYC

To ensure continued eligibility, farmers must complete the eKYC process. Three methods are available for this:
