Foxconn delegation to visit Hyderabad soon

Hyderabad: The delegation of Foxconn, the contract manufacturer of Apple iPhones in India, will visit Hyderabad soon.
Foxconn Chairman Young Liu called on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at his official residence in New Delhi on Friday and announced plans to visit Hyderabad with his team in the near future.
Foxconn Chairman Young Liu said Hyderabad city has potential to expand in all sectors, including industrial and service sectors and it holds immense potential for future growth.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasised Hyderabad's consistent industrial progress over the years, which remains unhampered by changes in governments.
He has elucidated about the phase-wise development of three cities in Hyderabad, whose foundation stone was laid under 430 years.
Revanth Reddy outlined the development of the Fourth City, which will focus on multifaceted growth in sectors such as education, life sciences, medicine, sports, electronics, electrical industries and skill development.
Highlighting the establishment of the Young India Skill University, a key component of the Fourth City project on the outskirts of Hyderabad, the Chief Minister stated that eminent industrialists are involved in the design of the syllabus to provide the necessary skills and human resources that equips the youth with modern industry skills.
As part of that, top industrialist Anand Mahindra has been appointed as the chairman of Skill University and another industrialist Srinivasa Raju has been appointed as the vice chairman, he explained.
Explaining about the advantages of Hyderabad including International Airport, Outer Ring Road (ORR), Regional Ring Road (RRR), Revanth Reddy assured Foxconn of full support, including necessary permits and incentives, for setting up their factories in the Fourth City.
The Chief Minister also urged Foxconn Chairman Young Liu to invest in Fourth City.
Minister for IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu also briefed Liu on the government's pro-industrial policies, incentives, and international collaborations aimed at boosting industrial development.
On the occasion, Young Liu commended Revanth Reddy's visionary approach and said that Foxconn was eager to explore investment opportunities in Hyderabad.
He announced plans for an initial visit by a team led by Chief Campus Operations Officer Kathy Yang and India representative V Lee, with a follow-up visit by Liu himself.
The meeting also saw the presence of several high-ranking officials from both the Telangana government and Foxconn, signaling the beginning of a potentially significant partnership for the city’s industrial development.
