The suspect was taken into custody and identified as Wam Miller (49) of Las Vegas, police said. However, it was revealed that there was no threat to Trump or those who attended the rally.
The police said that the accused was taken into custody as he was walking around with a loaded shotgun, handgun and high capacity magazine near the rally venue with a fake press card and entry pass. According to the information released by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the suspect was released from jail on Saturday on bail, and his vehicle also has no registration. Ammunition and guns were found in the car. The police suspect that he had made arrangements to flee abroad after the murder as he had a fake passport and driving license.
But as part of the investigation, the accused denied the allegations against him. He claimed to be a supporter of Trump. He revealed that the weapons he had were purchased in 2022 for personal protection. The accused alleged that while he was passing through Butler area with them, the police attacked him and seized his vehicle by force.
