Telangana Government Allocates ₹5,942 Crore for Major Road Expansion in Hyderabad
The Telangana government has approved ₹5,942 crore for the expansion of roads in Hyderabad as part of the H-City initiative.

The Telangana government is allocating significant funds for the expansion of roads in Hyderabad city. Municipal Administration Department Principal Secretary Dana Kishore has issued orders granting administrative approval for Rs. 5,942 crore as part of the H-City (Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure) initiative in the Municipal Corporation.
The order states that tenders should be called immediately, and the work should begin with these funds.
As part of the Japalana Victory Celebrations, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for the development works under H-City.
Recently, funds have been sanctioned for works to be undertaken in five packages across six zones of GHMC.
In this regard, permission has been given to release Rs. 940 crore for the construction of alternative roads around the AOC Center in the Secunderabad zone. Rs. 1,000 crore has been allocated for the development of Khajaguda, IIIT Junction, and Wipro Junctions in the Serilingampalli zone.
Additionally, Rs. 837 crore and Rs. 530 crore have been released for the construction of a six-lane flyover from Miyapur X Road to Alvin X Road and a three-lane underpass from Lingampalli towards Gachibowli.
