Hyderabad Weather Update: Rising Night Temperatures Mark End of 2024
Hyderabad continues to experience above-normal nighttime temperatures as haze and partly cloudy skies dominate the weather. On Monday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 16.6 degrees Celsius, which is 1.6 degrees Celsius higher than the seasonal average. Daytime temperatures also remained slightly above normal, with a maximum of 30.4 degrees Celsius noted on Sunday, exceeding the usual range by 2.0 degrees Celsius.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city recorded no rainfall in the last 24 hours. Humidity levels ranged from 48 per cent during the morning to 42 per cent in the evening. Partly cloudy skies, coupled with haze, are forecast to persist over the next several days, keeping weather conditions stable but slightly warmer than typical for late December.
The seven-day forecast indicates a continuation of this pattern. Nighttime temperatures are all set to stay above the average, with minimum readings fluctuating between 16 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius. Daytime highs are expected to range from 28 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius. The weather is likely to remain dry, with no significant rainfall predicted during the week.
Temperature data reveals an upward trend in both minimum and maximum readings compared to historical averages. Normally, Hyderabad records maximum temperatures of around 28 degrees Celsius and minimums of approximately 15 degrees celsius in late December. However, recent figures indicate a consistent rise above these benchmarks.
