WhatsApp new feature
WhatsApp, the Meta-owned messaging platform, is making waves with a new feature focused on user personalisation. The popular app is rolling out its latest update, version 2.24.20.12 beta for Android, through the Google Play Beta Program. This update allows users to select a 'default theme' for chats and customise chat bubbles with various design styles.
This feature is expected to offer users multiple design options through an updated user interface (UI), further expanding the customisation options currently available on the messaging app.
What’s new in this update?
“This feature will enable users to personalise their chat interface by choosing their preferred colours for chat bubbles and wallpapers from a set of predefined themes. Although this customisation tool is still under development."
This design ensures that the wallpaper complements the bubble colours, aligning with user preferences to create a cohesive and unified look. Reports suggest that users will also have the option to switch between dark and light modes. Additionally, the feature allows users to choose dark themes and adjust brightness settings, providing a more comfortable viewing experience in low-light conditions.
It's important to note that users will be able to activate only a limited number of themes from the WhatsApp interface, as there will be a set of predefined presets to choose from. Additionally, users can apply custom wallpapers to match their selected theme.
While WhatsApp hasn't provided a timeline for the feature's release, it's evident that significant progress is being made, and the rollout could happen in the near future.
