Interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa has accused remnants of the former Assad regime of inciting civil war and has initiated investigations into the recent coastal violence. He emphasised the government's commitment to national unity and stability.
Neighboring countries have expressed concern, with foreign ministers from Turkey, Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon, along with Syria's top diplomat Asaad Hassan al-Shibani, calling for the lifting of Western-led sanctions and promoting reconciliation efforts in post-war Syria.
