U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has condemned the recent violence in western Syria, labeling the perpetrators as "Islamist terrorists" and expressing solidarity with Syria's religious and ethnic minorities, including Christians, Druze, Alawites, and Kurds. He called for accountability for those responsible for these atrocities.

Interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa has accused remnants of the former Assad regime of inciting civil war and has initiated investigations into the recent coastal violence. He emphasised the government's commitment to national unity and stability.

Neighboring countries have expressed concern, with foreign ministers from Turkey, Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon, along with Syria's top diplomat Asaad Hassan al-Shibani, calling for the lifting of Western-led sanctions and promoting reconciliation efforts in post-war Syria. They highlighted the urgency of financial aid to rebuild the nation and alleviate widespread poverty affecting 90% of the population.
