Update Your Browser Now: Government Issues Warning For Chrome Users
After the United States and China, India is the third-most targeted country globally for cyber attacks. Sounds terrifying, right? But, fret not, since the government of India has taken the required action to combat this harsh reality.
Recently, CERT-In, India's cybersecurity watchdog, has warned about two vulnerabilities in the popular Google Chrome Browser. According to CERT-In's official website, Google Chrome is facing two vulnerabilities identified as CIVN-2025-0007 and CIVN-2025-0008, which have been classified as "critical" and "high" severity, respectively.
The first vulnerability, CIVN-2025-0007, includes multiple vulnerabilities, allowing remote attackers to execute arbitrary code, cause denial of service conditions, disclose sensitive information, and bypass security restrictions on the targeted system.
Meanwhile, the second vulnerability, CIVN-2025-0008 also includes multiple vulnerabilities, which could also allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause denial of service (DoS) conditions on the targeted system.
Thus, to protect the security, CERT-In has issued a warning to all Google Chrome users in India, advising them to update their browsers to the latest version immediately. The officials have also recommended that users enable automatic updates to ensure that their browser remains secure.
So, don't wait; update your browser now!
