Samsung Electronics unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 folding smartphones on Wednesday. According to the South Korean company, these phones were launched to offer customers more opportunities to maximise AI capabilities.

Powered by Galaxy AI, these smartphones are available for preorder, with Samsung set to begin shipping them on July 24, 2024.

Galaxy Z Fold6

Integrated with Google AI, the Galaxy Z Fold6 offers enhanced durability, improved displays, and an upgraded camera system. It is now thinner and lighter and features a 4,000mAh battery for all-day usage. AI features include translations, access to the Gemini AI app, text composition, summarization of large texts, and conversation recording, among others.

The Galaxy Z Fold6 sports a 50 MP rear camera, which uses the AI-powered ProVisual Engine to enhance photos and videos. The rear camera also includes a 12 MP ultra-wide camera. For editing photos and videos, Photo Assist with Galaxy AI provides enhanced, user-friendly tools.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is equipped with an upgraded 4,000mAh battery, ensuring longer usage times for a variety of activities. It boasts a new 50 MP primary camera and incorporates a vapour chamber for superior thermal management.

Additionally, this model includes an AI personal interpreter and Chat Assist, offering smarter text replies directly on the front display. The latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset ensures powerful performance across the board.
