Union Min calls for working together with creative ideas
The design thinking mindset should be practised by all R&D and academic institutes, says Narayana Swamy

Visakhapatnam Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment A Narayana Swamy said that one should work collectively with creative ideas. He was the chief guest at a two-day national conference on design thinking jointly organised by Andhra University Transdisciplinary Hub and Dr BR Ambedkar Chair. On this occasion, addressing the gathering virtually Narayana Swamy said that the design thinking mindset should be practised by all R&D and academic institutes and expressed the hope that design thinking will become a powerful tool in the future. He expressed happiness for organising the conference by combining different scientific topics. Dr BR Ambedkar stands as the champion of social justice. He said that such programmes stand as platforms where every person can prove his abilities.
He said that there is a need to constantly encourage creative research. He said that by 2047, India is working towards gaining an identity for itself in some fields and explained the many fields involved in its design and the need for an understanding of different sciences.
The Union Minister expressed his happiness about the development of Andhra University and congratulated Vice Chancellor Prof P V G D Prasada Reddy for being the driving force for progress.
DRDO Director General Dr Y Srinivasa Rao explained the importance of transdisciplinary research. He said one should have creative ideas and innovations in contrast to ordinary things. He said that many challenges will be faced from idea to implementation and solutions can be found if there are continuous intellectual discussions.
