Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading Indian IT services company, has unveiled its AWS generative AI practice through a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The collaboration aims to deepen TCS's expertise in generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) practices. TCS has already invested significantly in GenAI, conducting foundation training for over 100,000 employees. Now, the company is focusing on further enhancing its capabilities by certifying an additional 25,000 employees in AWS generative AI services.
Krishna Mohan, Deputy Head of TCS AI.Cloud unit, emphasized the holistic approach required for effective and trustworthy generative AI deployment. TCS aims to leverage its investments in building deep capabilities in generative AI, its strong partnership with AWS, and contextual knowledge of customers' businesses to help them unlock the true potential of generative AI for growth and transformation.
Vasi Philomin, Vice President of Generative AI at AWS, highlighted the transformative nature of generative AI, enabling organizations to reimagine customer experiences, boost employee productivity, and enhance overall business operations. AWS has been dedicated to making AI accessible to companies of all sizes and industries. Through the strengthened collaboration with TCS, more customers will have easy access to and benefit from generative AI.
The partnership's focus includes helping customers uncover and classify organizational knowledge, abstract insights to optimize decision-making, and create content. The solutions derived from this collaboration are expected to significantly improve customer experience and employee productivity. TCS will also assist clients in deploying Amazon CodeWhisperer, providing generative AI-powered code recommendations to developers. This initiative aims to streamline the coding process, saving developers effort and enhancing code quality.
