Samsung Resumes One UI 7 Update for Galaxy Devices After Delay
Samsung resumes the One UI 7 update, now rolling out globally for Galaxy devices like S24, S23, Z Fold 5 with new features and improved AI tools.

Samsung Electronics has resumed its rollout of the One UI 7 update following a pause caused by system issues affecting select Exynos-powered Galaxy S24 models. The update, built on Android 15, is scheduled to reach a broad range of Galaxy devices between April and June 2025.
Authorities at Samsung confirmed a revised rollout plan that includes a comprehensive list of Galaxy phones and tablets. The update will begin with the Galaxy S24 series and then extend to other models as follows:
• April 2025: Devices include the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 lineup, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S10 series.
• May 2025: The Galaxy S22 series, Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, A34, A35, Quantum 5, and A16 5G are scheduled to receive the update.
• June 2025: The update will expand to the Galaxy A53, A33, A25, A15, M14, F14, Tab S9 FE, and Tab A9 Plus.
Additional models, such as the A14, A05s, M05, F23, along with various M- and F-series devices, will also be updated, with the release timing varying by region.
One UI 7 brings a redesigned user interface that includes modifications to icons, animations, and layout structures. Key changes comprise an updated Quick Panel that separates notifications and toggles by screen side, a new lock screen display for live updates like music and recording, revised camera controls, and a redesigned battery icon. Enhancements in Galaxy AI tools aim to support productivity and summarization tasks, and app animations have been refined for a more cohesive user experience.
Samsung recommends that users ensure their devices are connected to Wi-Fi, fully charged, and have backed up data before installing the update. The installation can be initiated by navigating to Settings, selecting Software Update, and choosing Download and Install.
