Samsung has temporarily paused the rollout of its One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series following reports of a serious bug. The issue came to light shortly after the update was launched in South Korea last week.

According to Android Authority, well-known Samsung tipster UniverseIce revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that the update caused problems for some Galaxy S24 users in South Korea, preventing them from unlocking their phones in certain cases. As a result, Samsung has stopped the update's distribution and is urgently reviewing the firmware.

The rollout, which was originally planned to expand to the US after its South Korean release, is now on hold. Early reports suggest the issue might be affecting devices powered by Samsung's Exynos 2400 chip. Tipster Tarun Vats added that Samsung has also pulled the update from its over-the-air (OTA) servers.

As of now, Samsung has not officially acknowledged the issue or confirmed the halt of the One UI 7 rollout. However, Android Authority reports that for users who have already installed the update, there’s no need for immediate concern — a fix is expected to be released soon.
