Samsung Expands One UI 7 Beta, Confirms Stable Rollout Timeline

Samsung has outlined its roadmap for the One UI 7 Beta and Stable updates, confirming that older devices will not receive the Stable upgrade before undergoing the Beta testing phase. The company clarified its update strategy, detailing timelines for flagship and mid-range smartphones, along with its latest foldables and tablets.
The One UI 7 Beta program, which began in December 2024 for the Galaxy S24 series, will continue through March with additional Beta rollouts. Users participating in the Beta program should anticipate at least a fifth major Beta version and subsequent hotfix updates. Samsung has now confirmed that the Stable One UI 7 update for the S24 series will begin rolling out in April 2025.
Samsung’s newest foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, will enter the One UI 7 Beta phase starting March 6. The Beta program for these models will be available in four key markets: India, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States. These foldables are expected to enter the Beta stage at a level comparable to the One UI 7 Beta 4 release on the S24 series.
The 2023 flagship lineup, the Galaxy S23 series, is also set to receive One UI 7 Beta in March. While Samsung has yet to announce a specific release date, the program is expected to begin within the month. The Stable update is anticipated to roll out after Beta testing concludes, likely aligning with the April public release for the S24 series.
Samsung is extending the One UI 7 Beta program to the Galaxy Tab S10 series and the Galaxy A55. The Tab S10 represents the latest flagship tablet lineup, while the A55 is positioned as a widely adopted mid-range smartphone. With this move, the Beta program now encompasses flagship smartphones, foldables, tablets, and mid-range devices.
Samsung’s official update roadmap does not include the Galaxy S22 or S21 series in the Beta program. While both models are slated to receive the Android 15-based One UI 7 update, they are expected to bypass the Beta phase and transition directly to the Stable release when the public rollout begins.
