ChatGPT is an AI chatbot from OpenAI. It now has a new feature.

After years of just answering questions, ChatGPT can also search the internet. This update comes while Google still dominates the search market.

With this feature, users can quickly find information. They can get real-time updates with web links. OpenAI says users won’t need to rely on traditional search engines anymore.

A new search option will be on the ChatGPT homepage.

Users can find information like cricket scores, news, and stock updates. This feature will be available on the chatgpt.com website and the mobile app.

OpenAI announced that this new feature is launching today.

It’s available for ChatGPT Plus users, Team users, and those on the SearchGPT waitlist.

Enterprises and educational users will have access in a few weeks. The free version of ChatGPT will get this feature in a few months.

For years, ChatGPT only provided information from its own database.

Now, it can offer more information from the web. It will answer user queries and follow-up questions.

For weather, stocks, sports, and news, OpenAI has partnered with companies like the Financial Times, Time Magazine, and Business Insider.

Initially, there were reports that this search engine would be a separate product.

Now, it has been integrated directly into ChatGPT.
