OnePlus, Xiaomi, POCO, OPPO, and more; launches in January 2025

January 2025 is set to kick off the year with an exciting lineup of device launches from top tech brands, featuring budget smartphones, flagship models, and productivity gadgets. Confirmed releases include Xiaomi's affordable Redmi 14C, POCO’s performance-driven X7 series, Xiaomi Pad 7, and OPPO’s mid-premium Reno 13 series. Samsung is also expected to reveal its Galaxy S25 series and an XR headset later in the month. Additionally, major announcements will take place at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, starting on January 7.
Confirmed Launches in January 2025:
Redmi 14C 5G (January 6)
Xiaomi is launching the Redmi 14C, likely a rebranded Redmi 14R. It boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, a large 6.88-inch 120Hz display, and a 5,160mAh battery with 18W charging support.
OnePlus 13 Series (January 7)
The OnePlus 13 series will include the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13r. The OnePlus 13 will feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a 6.82-inch AMOLED display, and a 6,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The OnePlus 13r will sport a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and a triple-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor.
POCO X7 Series (January 9)
The POCO X7 series includes the X7 5G and X7 Pro 5G models. The X7 is expected to come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chip, and a 5,110mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The X7 Pro will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra chip, a larger 6,000mAh battery, and 90W charging support.
Xiaomi Pad 7 (January 10)
The Xiaomi Pad 7 will sport an 11.2-inch LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, powered by the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chip, and a large 8,850mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Series (Expected January 22)
The highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 16GB of RAM, and advanced AI tools. The design will include a flat frame, Gorilla Glass Armor, and upgraded camera systems. Both the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus are expected to feature brighter displays with slimmer bezels.
OPPO Reno 13 Series (January, Date TBD)
OPPO’s Reno 13 series will include the Reno 13 Pro, which features a 6.83-inch quad-curved AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chip, and a 5,800mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. The standard Reno 13 will have a slightly smaller 6.59-inch display and similar camera features, excluding the telephoto lens.
