OnePlus 13 Series to launch on January 7, 2025: Here's what we know so far

OnePlus is set to unveil its highly anticipated OnePlus 13 Series and the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 on January 7, 2025, marking the company’s 11th anniversary. The launch event, scheduled for 10:30 am EST / 4:30 pm CET / 9:00 pm IST, will showcase the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R smartphones, which will be available on Amazon and the OnePlus India e-store.

Design and Build

The OnePlus 13 Series will feature a revamped design with a camera module inspired by the golden ratio. Customers can choose from three new finishes: Midnight Ocean, Arctic Dawn, and Black Eclipse. The Midnight Ocean variant will be the first smartphone to utilize micro-fibre vegan leather. Arctic Dawn boasts a surface-based glass coating to resist fingerprints, while Black Eclipse offers a sleek matte finish. The devices will also come with IP68 and IP69 ratings, ensuring superior resistance to water, dust, and scratches.

Display and Specifications

Globally, the OnePlus 13 will retain the specifications of its Chinese counterpart. It will sport a 6.82-inch Quad HD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform and run on OxygenOS 15.

The OnePlus 13 will offer up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It will feature a 6,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Camera and Features

The global version of the OnePlus 13 will include a triple rear camera setup, featuring a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. For selfies, it will have a 32MP front camera.

OnePlus Buds Pro 3

In addition to the smartphones, OnePlus will introduce the OnePlus Buds Pro 3, available in a Sapphire Blue variant designed to complement the Midnight Ocean version of the OnePlus 13. The earbuds will feature enhanced connectivity and AI-driven translation functionality, integrating seamlessly with the OnePlus 13 Series.
