Samsung has officially announced that the One UI 7 update, based on Android 15, will begin rolling out on April 7. The update will first be available for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6, with a wider release planned for additional Galaxy devices in the following weeks.
Samsung’s One UI 7 update will initially be released for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6. Over the coming weeks, more Galaxy smartphones and tablets will receive the update, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, and the Galaxy Tab S10 and Tab S9 series.
The One UI 7 update introduces a redesigned user interface with enhanced customization and functionality. Key features include:
- Home Screen and Widget Updates: A simplified layout and redesigned One UI widgets enhance the user experience.
- Now Bar: Users can access real-time updates directly from the lock screen without unlocking the device.
- AI Select: A swipe on the Edge Panel allows users to extract content from videos and save it as a GIF file.
- Writing Assist: Enables automatic formatting and text summarization.
- Drawing Assist: Allows users to create content using text prompts, sketches, and images.
- Audio Eraser: Isolates and removes unwanted sounds from videos for improved editing.
Certain features remain exclusive to the Galaxy S25 series, including Now Brief and Call Transcript, with no confirmation on their rollout to older devices. Samsung has not provided details on whether these features will be included in future beta updates.
Samsung will expand the rollout in phases, ensuring device compatibility and stability. Users can check for the update via their device settings under Software Update.
