Ola to introduce ‘no cancellation’ feature for selected customers in Bengaluru

Ola Cabs, the ride-hailing company, is testing a new premium service called 'Prime Plus' with selected customers in Bengaluru. The service, as announced by Ola's co-founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal on May 28, guarantees no cancellations or operational issues. Aggarwal mentioned in a tweet that he would personally use the feature frequently and share his experiences on Twitter.

The Prime Plus service aims to provide customers with the best drivers and top cars, ensuring a seamless and reliable ride experience. The screenshot shared by Aggarwal showcased the Prime Plus option available for selection within the Ola app.

In addition to this recent development, earlier in February, Bhavish Aggarwal expressed his belief that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a powerful tool for enhancing productivity and urged India to take the lead in adopting such technologies. He dismissed concerns about job losses, emphasizing the potential of AI to boost productivity by tenfold and contribute to significant economic growth.

However, Ola has also faced challenges this year, as they laid off approximately 200 employees from their tech and product teams in January. This restructuring exercise affected employees across Ola Cabs, Ola Electric, and Ola Financial Services divisions.
