Nothing has officially announced that its upcoming Phone (3a) Series will bring significant camera and AI-driven enhancements over its predecessor, the Phone (2a). The new lineup will be unveiled on March 4 at 3:30 PM IST.

A major highlight of the Phone (3a) Series is its 50MP periscope lens, which offers 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom, and up to 60x ultra zoom. According to the company, this advanced setup enhances macro and portrait photography with a 70mm focal length, delivering sharper and more detailed shots.

The TrueLens Engine 3.0, an AI-powered image processing system, combines tone mapping and scene detection to optimize every shot. Nothing claims that this technology ensures a balance between traditional photography and advanced computational techniques.

The 50MP main sensor in the Phone (3a) Series is designed to capture 64% more light per pixel, leading to a 300% increase in full well capacity compared to the Phone (2a). Additionally, all four sensors in the camera system support Ultra HDR photo output, while both the main and front cameras offer 4K video recording. Enhanced stabilization and night mode further improve video quality.

CEO Carl Pei confirmed that the Phone 3a Series will be powered by Snapdragon chipsets and will include two models—the Phone 3a and the Phone 3a Pro. The company has also revealed that the series will be manufactured in India.

Stay tuned for more details when the Nothing Phone (3a) Series launches on March 4.
