The smartphone industry is abuzz with anticipation as talks swirl around upcoming releases from Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo. Recent leaks suggest that these tech giants are gearing up to unveil their next-generation smartphones equipped with cutting-edge System on Chips (SoCs), with the Xiaomi 15, Oppo Find X8, and Vivo X200 among the rumoured devices.
According to a Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 15, Oppo Find X8, and Vivo X200 are slated to hit the market in October. These smartphones are expected to feature 1.5K displays and compact designs, hinting at their potential as base models rather than the larger 'Pro' or 'Ultra' variants commonly seen.
Emojis used in the Weibo post suggest that the Xiaomi 15 may come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, while the Oppo Find X8 and Vivo X200 could sport the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. Additionally, the tipster hinted at the inclusion of periscope telephoto cameras in Oppo and Vivo's devices.
It's speculated that alongside their standard models, the Xiaomi 15 Pro and Vivo X200 Pro will also be unveiled, possibly featuring Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and MediaTek Dimensity chipsets, respectively. Meanwhile, the purported Oppo X8 Ultra might make its debut in China in early 2025, boasting a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC and satellite connectivity support. With other brands like OnePlus, Redmi, Realme, and iQoo also expected to launch smartphones equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoCs by the end of 2024, competition in the smartphone market is set to intensify.
