Musk is reportedly buying a lot of GPUs for an AI project on Twitter

It was reported by the publication that Musk spent a lot of money on the GPUs.

GPUs are specialized hardware that accelerates AI computations, rendering, analytics, and 3D modeling in data centers. The secret project at Twitter is reportedly a generative AI, that the company would train using its own data reserves.

Several AI chatbots, including Microsoft's Bing AI, have been created based on OpenAI's ChatGPT technology and Musk has been vocal in criticizing them.

He was among the executives who signed an open letter calling for a six-month pause in AI development till new data guidelines and ethics principles were established.

Igor Babuschkin, a former Google DeepMind researcher, was hired by Musk in February. Also, the billionaire has approached other experts in the field about setting up an AI lab.
