Motorola Razr 60 Ultra may be India's first foldable smartphone launch of 2025
Motorola, the Chinese smartphone brand owned by Lenovo, is reportedly preparing to launch its next-generation flip-style foldable smartphone, the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra, in India. According to a report by 91Mobiles, the device has appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) portal, hinting at an imminent launch.
The Motorola smartphone with the model number XT2551 is believed to be the successor to the Razr 50 Ultra (model XT2451), which was released earlier. The BIS certification suggests that the launch could happen sooner than expected. For reference, the previous Razr model received its BIS certification in April 2024, followed by an official release in July. With the Razr 60 Ultra already cleared for certification, its debut in India may occur in the upcoming months.
Powered by the anticipated Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Elite System-on-Chip (SoC), the Razr 60 Ultra is expected to offer significant improvements over its predecessor, continuing Motorola's push into the foldable smartphone market.
