Microsoft's Latest Update: All You Need To Know
Microsoft has rolled out a new update, allowing users to stay vigilant and protect their accounts, especially if they are using public computers.
Microsoft's Latest Update
Microsoft, a leading tech giant, has recently introduced a significant change to its account sign-in process. From February 2025, the new update will keep the users automatically signed in to their accounts unless they manually sign out or use private browsing. So, this change aims to make people aware and vigilant, especially if they are using public computers.
Right now, when you sign in to a Microsoft account, you are always asked if you want to stay signed in, so you do not have to sign in again the following time. However, from February onwards, there will be no option because Microsoft has altered its policy to automatically keep you signed in. You must use a private browsing window on public PCs or remember to sign out once your session is finished; otherwise, the account will remain hooked.
According to Microsoft's support document, "The web browser sign-in experience is changing when you sign in to any product or service using your Microsoft account. Starting in February 2025, you will stay signed in automatically unless you sign out or use private browsing."
"If you sign in on your computer, your browser will remember your sign-in information, but if you sign in on a computer, phone, or tablet that doesn't belong to you or is accessed by other people, you should follow the steps below to use a private browsing window instead," it added.
