The government has raised an alert regarding significant security flaws in Apple products, including iPhones and iPads, which could lead to potential data breaches and spoofing risks.

This warning was issued by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) in an advisory released on Friday.

These vulnerabilities could enable attackers to access confidential data, run unauthorized code, bypass security measures, disrupt services (Denial of Service), and conduct spoofing attacks.

The vulnerabilities impact several software versions, including iOS and iPadOS versions earlier than 17.6 and 16.7.9, macOS versions prior to 14.6, watchOS versions before 10.6, tvOS versions under 17.6, visionOS versions below 1.3, and Safari versions earlier than 17.6. These issues are rated as "high" risk.

While Apple has not yet confirmed these vulnerabilities, the company issued security updates last week to address them, which are available on their website.

CERT-In recommends that users install these updates without delay.

Earlier, a similar warning was issued regarding critical vulnerabilities in iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, and VisionPro headsets related to "remote code execution" threats.
