Google has just unveiled Ananta, its newest and one of the largest office spaces worldwide, located in Mahadevapura, Bengaluru. Designed to accommodate over 5,000 employees, this expansive 1.6 million-square-foot campus showcases India’s growing importance in Google’s global operations.

A Blend of Innovation and Sustainability

The name Ananta, meaning “limitless” in Sanskrit, perfectly reflects Google’s vision for this space. The office will house teams working on major products like Android, Search, Google Pay, Cloud, Maps, Play, and DeepMind.

Sustainability is at the core of Ananta’s design:

✅ Smart Glass Technology to reduce energy consumption

✅ 100% Wastewater Recycling with zero discharge

✅ Rainwater Harvesting for sustainable water management

✅ Locally Sourced Materials for eco-friendly interiors

Designed for Collaboration & Well-Being

Ananta’s layout is structured like a city grid, making navigation easy. Employees can work in neighborhood-style spaces, use private booths for focused tasks, or gather in Sabha, a central area for discussions and events.

The office also prioritizes accessibility, featuring tactile flooring for the visually impaired and inclusive facilities. Employees can enjoy walking and jogging paths, promoting a balanced work-life environment.

Google’s Vision for India

With over 10,000 employees across its India offices in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Gurugram, Mumbai, and Pune, Google continues to expand its footprint.

"India is leading a technological shift, especially with AI, and Google has been a proud partner for the last 20 years," said Preeti Lobana, VP & Country Manager, Google India. She highlighted Google’s commitment to AI adoption, digital transformation, and skilling initiatives across various sectors like agriculture, health, and fintech.

As Google deepens its engagement with India’s research and startup ecosystem, the Ananta campus stands as a symbol of innovation, sustainability, and future-ready workspaces.
