Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy A56 5G alongside the Galaxy A36, aiming to dominate the Rs 40,000-45,000 price bracket. Competing with the Google Pixel 8a and OnePlus 12R, the A56 brings AI-driven features and a robust hardware setup, reinforcing Samsung’s presence in the mid-premium segment.
Artificial intelligence is a central element in the Galaxy A56 5G, enhancing multiple aspects of the smartphone experience. The device introduces AI-based tools such as enhanced Circle to Search, Auto Trim, and Instant Slo-mo, making content creation and discovery more seamless. Samsung continues to refine the A-series design with a slim 7.4mm body and a Linear Floating Camera Module. A new Radiance-inspired color palette differentiates the A56, with the Awesome Olive variant standing out in the lineup.
The smartphone features a triple-lens rear camera system, including a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro sensor. While a zoom lens is absent, Samsung compensates with Nightography technology for improved low-light photography. The front-facing 12MP camera includes a wide-angle feature, enhancing selfie quality.
Samsung continues its legacy of delivering high-quality displays with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel. Offering a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and peak brightness of 1200 nits, the screen ensures an immersive viewing experience. Complementing the display, stereo speakers have been optimized for better audio output.
Powered by the Exynos 1580 processor, the A56 5G balances performance and efficiency. A larger vapor chamber assists in maintaining thermal stability during extended usage, making it suitable for gaming and video playback. The device houses a 5000mAh battery within its lightweight 198g frame, supporting long-lasting usage. Storage configurations extend up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
