Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge to Debut May 13 in Korea, China

Samsung is set to introduce the Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13, targeting South Korea and China for its initial rollout. The launch was reportedly delayed from April, with sources indicating a broader release might follow later in the year.

Citing details from 9To5Google, the ultra-slim Galaxy S25 Edge was previously anticipated to debut across multiple markets, including India. However, Samsung now appears to be narrowing its early availability. A listing on India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website has been spotted, suggesting the possibility of a future Indian release.

The device made an appearance at Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, hinting that Samsung may still consider a global launch at a later stage.

The Galaxy S25 Edge, first revealed at MWC 2025, features a flat-edge metal frame and frosted glass finish. Its dual-camera setup, arranged vertically on a raised rear module, distinguishes it from other S25 models. With a slim 5.84mm profile and 162g weight, it stands out for its compact and lightweight construction.

Internally, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It will be available in variants with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 15 layered with One UI 7.

The S25 Edge is expected to sport a 6.66-inch AMOLED screen with a 1080 x 2400 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Camera specifications include a 200MP ISOCELL HP2 main sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. The phone is not likely to include a telephoto lens. The front camera is expected to be 10MP.

Despite its size, the phone houses a 3786mAh battery, likely a compromise for achieving its slim design.

Samsung has not confirmed plans for markets beyond South Korea and China, but its BIS certification and MWC showcase indicate further expansion is under consideration.
